Welcome. By using this website, booking a discovery call, or purchasing a coaching program, you agree to the following terms. I keep them clear and straightforward because transparency is part of how I work.

Coaching is not therapy or medical care

My coaching is a supportive, educational space focused on self-awareness, confidence, boundaries, and personal growth. It is not a substitute for therapy, counseling, medical treatment, or mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or emergency service in your area.

Discovery calls

Discovery calls are free, 15-minute conversations to explore whether we are a good fit. They are not coaching sessions and do not create a coaching relationship.

Payments and refunds

Program fees are listed on each program page and are payable before sessions begin. Because coaching is a time-based commitment, I consider refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you attend the first session and feel the program is not the right fit, contact me within 14 days of purchase to discuss a partial refund.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule a session. Sessions canceled or missed with less than 48 hours notice may not be refundable or rescheduled, at my discretion. Unused sessions do not roll over unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Communication boundaries

Coaching sessions take place on Zoom or another agreed video platform. I respond to messages by email during my regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Social media direct messages are not a coaching or crisis support channel.

Confidentiality

What you share in coaching stays between us, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to prevent harm. I also ask that you keep anything I share about my methods, frameworks, or personal story confidential within our coaching relationship.

Intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, images, worksheets, and coaching materials, is owned by The Maria Ball and may not be copied, distributed, or used without my written permission. You are welcome to apply what you learn to your own life. You may not repurpose my materials to coach others or build a competing offer.

No guaranteed outcomes

Coaching results depend on your participation, commitment, and circumstances. I do not promise specific outcomes. Testimonials and examples on this site are not guarantees of what you will experience.

Termination

Either of us may end the coaching relationship with written notice. I reserve the right to terminate immediately for non-payment, harassment, fraud, or behavior that makes coaching unsafe or unproductive.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability to you for any claim relating to coaching or this website is limited to the amount you paid for the program or session in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where The Maria Ball is based. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that state.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms as my practice grows. When I do, I will post the new version here with the updated date.
